Spore Check System
The Dental Board of California (DBC) mandates that proper functioning of the sterilization cycle must be verified at least weekly through the use of a biological indicator, such as a spore test. Spore Check System, a sterilizer monitoring service from OSHA Review, Inc., offers an easy, convenient, and accurate way to monitor the sterility of your dental instruments.
- Testing of multiple sterilizers – Spore Check System provides testing up to four sterilizers per envelope with receipts to document your testing, all in one handy, compact binder. Our competitors would require four envelopes and stamps.
- Barcoded envelopes – Each Spore Check envelope is preprinted with a unique barcode that identifies each office and autoclave in our database to minimize your paperwork and to save time. Our competitors would require extensive time-consuming documentation.
- Sacramento in-house lab – OSHA Review is centrally located in California, resulting in a faster turn-around time for your test results.
- Reminder service – We’ll help you comply with DBC requirements by notifying you if you forget to test.
- Immediate reporting – If your spore test yields a positive result, we will call you immediately with the result.
- On-line reporting – Client test results are available via our password–protected web site. Alternatively, test results can be emailed to your dental office.
- Experienced accuracy – More than 1.9 million tests have been processed since 1994.
- Affordability: CDA members only pay $169 for 52 tests ($3.25/test).
